Stills from singer-songwriter milet's first film appearance, "Shiranai Kanojo" (directed by Miki Takahiro, scheduled for release on February 28, 2025), were released on December 29th. This is her first foray into acting, and the stills show milet playing the heroine Minami in two different world lines.
The movie stars Kento Nakajima and is a fantasy love story based on the French film "Love, Second Sight."
Riku (Nakajima) and Minami (milet) met in college, fell in love at first sight, and got married. Eight years have passed since then, and with Minami's support, Riku has become a popular best-selling author, but one morning, Riku wakes up to find that Minami is nowhere to be found, and he is confused by the fact that he cannot make sense of the conversations he has with the people around him. To his surprise, Riku has become an editor at a literary magazine, and the sight and songs of "Maezono Minami," a genius singer-songwriter he has never met, are spreading throughout the city...
In the "original world," Milet naturally played a wide range of roles, from an ordinary college student chasing her dreams to a housewife who is troubled by misunderstandings despite being married to the person she loves, and in the "other world," she generously showed off her artistic side as the popular singer Maezono Minami.
Regarding the casting, director Miki said he was convinced that "if there was anyone else who could play this role, it was her," and after filming, he reflected, "It didn't feel at all like it was her first acting job."
