On December 19th, a pre-release event for the movie "Oshi no Ko-The Final Act-" (directed by Smith), which will be released on December 20th, was held in Tokyo, where Asuka Saito, who plays the legendary idol Ai, made an appearance. In reference to the movie "15 Years of Lies," Saito was asked about the "most recent lie she's told," and revealed that she had told a "26-year-old lie."
Saito is currently 26 years old and said, "I feel like I've been lying since I was born. I lie every day, on a daily basis, so I don't even have to say it." When asked by the moderator, "Does anyone know who Saito really is?", he replied, "No one knows," revealing his mysterious side.
Appearing at the event were Kaito Kaito Sakurai, who plays Aqua, Nagisa Saito, who plays Ruby, Nanoka Hara, who plays Kana Arima , Mizuki Kayashima , who plays Akane Kurokawa , Ano, who plays Mem-cho, Nobuaki Kaneko, who plays Yasushi Gotanda, and director Smith.
The movie is based on the popular manga (Shueisha) of the same name by Aka Akasaka and Mengo Yokoyari, which has sold over 20 million copies (as of December). Aqua (Asuka Saito) and Ruby (Kaito Sakurai), twin siblings of legendary idol Ai (Nagisa Saito), pursue the truth behind their mother's death in the entertainment industry. The eight-episode drama is currently streaming on Prime Video, and the movie will continue from there.
