It has been announced that Ken Kojima, leader of the popular group "Ae! group", will appear in the drama series "Honnou Switch" (TV Asahi, Saturday 11pm) which will start on January 11th, 2025. He will play Enomoto Shu, a junior colleague at the company of the heroine Koyori (played by Aoi Wakana), who is always a cheerful mood maker.
The drama is a live-action adaptation of the manga of the same name by KUJIRA (Kodansha), starring Kaito Miyachika of "Travis Japan" and Aoi. It is a love story about childhood friends, Hijiri (Miyachika) and Koa, who become involved through an unexpected turn of events and once again confront their sealed away feelings of love.
Regarding his role, Kojima commented, "He's a bright mood maker, a character that you'd want to have around someone who can add an accent to your life. I'm not a particularly cheerful person myself, so recently I've started to be more conscious of being "cheerful" even in my private life. Like, I try to speak loudly in my everyday life (laughs)."
This was her first time acting alongside Miyachika, who is in the same agency. "I've never really had a chance to talk to Miyachika-kun before, so I was really looking forward to working with him this time. I only spoke to him for a moment just now! He was really kind to me, which made me really happy," she said.
The story is a heartwarming love story, in which Enomoto secretly has feelings for "a certain person." Kojima said, "Of course it'll make your heart flutter, and it'll make you feel a little lonely... I hope it will be a work that moves the emotions of those who watch it."
The appearances of actors Junki Tozuka and Nonami Maho were also announced. Tozuka will play Yoshida Sosuke, Kowa's co-worker and ex-boyfriend. When Sosuke finds out that his cheating girlfriend is pregnant, he unilaterally breaks up with Kowa. Tozuka, who has often played lovable, playful characters up until now, will take on a role that completely changes his image. Nonami will play Kihara Yoko, a co-worker who is always warmly watching over Kowa's love life and a good confidant.
