It has been revealed that actress Haruna Kawaguchi will be the general host for the second year in a row of the TBS music special "The 66th Shining! Japan Record Awards" (5:30 pm), which will be broadcast on December 30th. Along with Kawaguchi, announcer Shinichiro Azumi will also be the general host for the 13th year in a row.
Kawaguchi expressed her enthusiasm, saying, "I am very happy and excited to be hosting this special stage that will conclude the year with Azumi-san. I was a little nervous last year, so this year I hope to have the most fun and be able to host with great energy."
Announcer Azumi also commented, "As an announcer, I am happy to have been asked to host the show again this year, and I am also happy to continue working with Haruna Kawaguchi. I look forward to your continued support this year."
Narrated by John Kabira, the show will be broadcast live from the New National Theatre's Middle Theatre in Shibuya, Tokyo, on December 30th at 5:30pm on the TBS network.
