It has been revealed that the 32nd and latest film in the popular anime series "Crayon Shin-chan" - "Crayon Shin-chan: Super Brilliant! The Burning Kasukabe Dancers" - will be released in the summer of 2025. For the first time in the series' history, the film will be set in India, and will feature a dance entertainment movie in which Shinnosuke Nohara and the rest of the Kasukabe Defense Force dance and dance and dance.
The film will be directed by Masakazu Crayon Shin-chan-chan movie series such as "Honeymoon Hurricane: The Lost Hiroshi" and "Mononoke Ninja Chinpuden," and the script will be written by Kimiko Ueno, who has worked with Hashimoto on numerous Crayon Shin-chan chan movie series.
A teaser visual was also released, depicting Shinnosuke and Bo-chan in a different state than usual. In contrast to Shinnosuke walking towards the light, the visual shows Bo-chan gazing into the dark, accompanied by Bo-chan's shocking line, "Goodbye, Shin-chan." A trailer showing the interaction between the two was also released on YouTube.
Kobayashi Yumiko, the voice actress for Shinnosuke, commented, "This time, Shin-chan will be causing a stir in India! He'll be singing like crazy! He'll be dancing like crazy!!! And... to all the Bo-chan fans across the country... we're sorry to have kept you waiting for so long...! The main character in this movie is Bo-chan!! Bo-chan is said to be the wise man of Crayon Shin-chan(according to me), and he's done something completely unexpected...!! And also Shinnosuke, Dad, Mom, Hima, Shiro, and the Kasukabe Defense Force!! They'll all be singing and dancing and becoming Maharajas!! What kind of storm will they create in India...!! Director Hashimoto said, "The Nohara family moved to Mexico and went on a honeymoon to Australia, and now they're finally heading to India! And this time the Kasukabe Defense Force is traveling with them. What adventures await the Kasukabe Defense Force in a foreign land?! To make this film, I went to India to scout locations with the scriptwriter and art staff, and experienced the super spicy curry and scorching sun. Singing, dancing, laughing, crying, eating, feeling confused and depressed...I think we'll be able to deliver a film that's new and different from anything we've seen before, but that's more Crayon Shin-chan chan than usual, and full of entertainment. The first film in the Crayon Shin-chan series, Crayon Shin-chan : Action Kamen VS High-Grade Demon King, was released in 1993. The first full-length 3DCG animation in the series' history, New Dimension! Crayon Shin-chan Shin-chan: The Movie: Psychic Battle - Tobe Tobe Temaki Sushi, was released in 2023, which also became a hot topic. The box office revenue of Crayon Shin-chan: Our Dinosaur Diary (directed by Shinobu Sasaki), released this year, exceeded 2.5 billion yen, breaking the record for the highest box office revenue in the series' history.
