It has been announced that voice actors Houchu Otsuka and Rie Kugimiya will appear in the second season of the TV anime Toilet-Bound Hanako-kun 2, based on the manga by Aida Iro, which is currently being serialized in Monthly G Fantasy (Square Enix). Otsuka will play Kako, one of the three clock guardians in the first of the Seven Wonders, and Otsuka will play Mirai, one of the three clock guardians in the first of the Seven Wonders.
Otsuka commented, "I will be playing the role of Kako. When I auditioned, I saw the materials and I immediately thought, 'Ah, this is my role.' Ideas for creating the character came to me one after another, and I was able to speak fluently. I had a lot of fun acting, and I was very happy to have got the role through the audition."
Kugimiya said, "When I first saw the character, I thought what an adorable appearance! But when I looked more closely, he sometimes had an ominous expression...I tried to play the role with a wide range of acting skills."
It was also announced that "Toilet-Bound Hanako-kun After School Radio," hosted by Ogata Megumi, the voice of Hanako-kun and Tsukasa, will be revived as "Toilet-Bound Hanako-kun 2 After School Radio." It will be streamed live on the TBS Anime YouTube channel from 9:00 PM on December 14th. It was also announced that voice actress and singer Akari Kito, who plays the role of Yashiro Nene in the anime, will sing the ending theme "With a Wish."
"Toilet-Bound Hanako-kun" is a comedy about the occult girl Nene Yashiro, who loves magic spells, and Hanako-kun, the seven mysteries of the school. The first season of the TV anime aired from January to March 2020. The second season will be broadcast on TBS from January 12, 2025, every Sunday at 4:30 pm.
