It has been announced that the TV anime " The Red Ranger Becomes an Adventurer in Another World ," based on the manga by Koyoshi Nakayoshi currently being serialized in "Monthly Shonen Gangan" (Square Enix), will begin airing on TOKYO MX and other stations from January 12, 2025. Additional cast members have also been announced, with Shiraishi Haruka playing Raniya, the next leader of the elven sanctuary, the Forest of the Sun; Makoto Furukawa playing Azir Anuma Kukuja, lord of the mining city of Kukuja; Shiraishi Ryoko playing Shauha, the Imperial Kingdom's greatest magician and current "Royal Staff"; Yoshino Hiroyuki playing Abu Dhabi, one of the Demon King's "beloved children"; and Kenichi Suzumura playing Azir's butler, Vidan.
A key visual was also released, depicting Kizuna Red and Idra fighting back to back. It depicts the Demon King Abu Dhabi, Lord of Kukuja Azir Anuma Kukuja, the magician Shauha, Azir's butler Vidan, Princess Tertina, the elf girl Raniya, and the knight Rouji, and behind him is the giant robot Maximum Kizuna Kaiser, which Kizuna Red summons.
Shiraishi Haruka commented, "The character I will be playing, Rania, is the next head of the Forest of the Sun and has a strong sense of justice, but there is a huge gap between her fighting and her everyday self, so I will do my best to portray both sides in an appealing way! The set was filled with love for the Sentai, and I could feel the director and staff's passion in many ways, which put a lot of effort into the dubbing. I hope that this work, which is filled with everyone's passion, will reach many people!!"
Furukawa said, "I feel that this is a work that embodies the concept of justice in a way that is refreshing. The character of Azir also has glimpses of kindness and a sense of mission. I hope that his anguish and determination are conveyed through his voice. I would be happy if many people can enjoy it, including the conventions."
Shiraishi Ryoko commented, "I am filled with gratitude and it is surely thanks to Director Keiichiro Kawaguchi that I was able to come across this character. It was very nostalgic for me that he also served as sound director, and it was my first time in a dubbing studio, so it was an exciting and fun experience! The foul-mouthed Shauha was very cute and had a lot of facial expressions, so it was fun to play him, but it was a bit nerve-wracking when he would suddenly start talking (laughs). Please look forward to the broadcast!"
Yoshino said, "Those who are familiar with the original work will know, but the character I play is an enemy of the main characters, but it was a lot of fun! I hope that when people watch this film, I can make them smile just as much as the visuals do! I hope you will enjoy both the original work and the anime! Personally, I was happy to meet Director Kawaguchi (laughs)."
Suzumura said, "Vidan is a mysterious character, and there are some parts of the story that I can't go into detail about, but I am doing my best to play the role in order to add excitement to the work. As the story progresses and Vidan's true identity is revealed, I hope that everyone will be moved by a variety of emotions. I am grateful to have had the opportunity to take part in such a wonderful production!"
The work is a manga that has been serialized in "Monthly Shonen Gangan" since 2020. The story is about Kizuna Red, a member of the Sentai hero Kizuna Five, who is thought to have lost his life in a draw with the enemy in the final battle against an evil organization, but when he comes to his senses, he has been reincarnated in another world... Kizuna Red becomes an adventurer and fights to save people in trouble in the other world.
