To celebrate the release of the 16th and final volume of the popular manga series "Oshi no Ko," which was serialized in "Weekly Young Jump" (Shueisha), on December 18th, a special event will be taking over Tokyo Dome City (Bunkyo Ward, Tokyo) with "Oshi no Ko THE LAST STAGE in TOKYO DOME CITY," which will begin on the same day. The concept of the event is "To the Tokyo Dome, the dream stage for all idols," and details have now been announced.
In addition to the special visual appearing next to Tokyo Dome, a special manga live will be held, screening a special live-style video of B-Komachi using the song "Sign wa B." Promotional posters (8 types in total) for the contents of dramas, programs, concerts, and stage performances depicted in the work, such as "Today is Sweet," "Tokyo Blade," and "15 Years of Lies," have been specially designed and will be displayed in 8 locations within Tokyo Dome City.
On the way to Tokyo Dome, the Crystal Avenue lawn plaza will be decorated with Ai, Ruby, Aqua, Kana Arima, Akane Kurokawa, and Mem-cho, and digital signage around Tokyo Dome will play videos featuring the characters' visuals and famous lines. Inside Tokyo Dome City, audio content that lets you enjoy the characters' conversations will be broadcast throughout the building on a weekly basis. Various collaboration projects will be held at each store in Tokyo Dome City. The takeover project will run until January 13, 2025.
"Oshi no Ko" is a manga by Aka Akasaka , author of "Kaguya-sama: Love is War" and Mengo Yokoyari , author of " Scum's Wish ," and began serialization in Weekly Young Jump in April 2020. It tells the story of a twin brother and sister left behind by a genius idol named Ai, who suddenly dies. The younger twin, Ruby, admires her mother and enters the entertainment industry, while the older brother, Aqua, vows to take revenge on their biological father, who is believed to have accomplices in Ai's murder. The final episode was published in the 50th issue of the magazine, released on November 14, bringing the series to a close after about four and a half years.
