Filming has begun on the drama series "Honnou Switch" (TV Asahi, Saturdays at 11pm), which begins on January 11th and stars Kaito Miyachika from the popular group "Travis Japan" and actress Wakana Aoi.
On the first day of filming, the two filmed a scene in which childhood friends Akiyama Satoshi (Miyachika) and Hoshi Kowa (Aoi) spend time in Kowa's room. Before filming, they both said, "I'm really nervous on the first day of filming," but once filming started, that didn't seem to be the case. They communicated carefully with the staff and were impressive as they discussed their acting with smiles on their faces.
Miyachika commented, "At first, I was wondering what it would be like, as there were some staff members I was working with for the first time. However, the story itself has a warm atmosphere, and I was able to start the first day with a relaxed feeling, so I wasn't too nervous and was able to get off to a good start." He continued, "However, I want to express Hijiri more and more aggressively from here on out, so it was a day that made me motivated to get used to it quickly and create a good work with everyone."
Regarding his co-star Aoi, he said, "He is really calm and took his acting very seriously. He is very easy to act with and it is easy to be around him on set. I am inspired by Aoi's attitude and I hope that we can work together to create the atmosphere of Sei and Koa."
Aoi said about Miyachika, "I thought that Miyachika's calm demeanor was very close to the atmosphere and vibe of the work and the two characters (Hijiri and Koa), so I would like to follow that Miyachika!" She continued, enthusiastically, "I would like to do my best, carefully and while having fun, to properly express the warmth of Hijiri and Koa, and the atmosphere that is unique to the two of them, so that everyone will feel warm and fuzzy."
The drama is based on the manga of the same name by KUJIRA (Kodansha), and depicts the love story of childhood friends, Hijiri and Koa, who become involved through unexpected circumstances and begin to realize the feelings they have for each other that they had kept hidden.
