The 10th episode of Fuji TV's Monday 9pm drama "Usotoki Rhetoric" (Mondays at 9pm), starring actors Hiroshi Suzuka and Honoka Matsumoto, aired on December 9th. The episode saw Kanoko (Matsumoto) reunite with her mother Fumi (Wakamura Mayumi), which became a hot topic on social media.

Fumi comes to Tsukumoya Town using the address of the office written in Kanoko's letter. With the help of Suzuma (Suzuka), she is finally reunited with Kanoko. "I missed you," she says, embracing Kanoko.
Fumi spent time with her daughter for the first time in a while, listening to Kanoko talk about her friendships. "The day Kanoko left the village, you said, 'You can come back anytime,' right?" she began, "I was always worried. If she came back to the village, she'd have a hard time. I thought it would be better if she didn't come back, if Kanoko was going to have a hard time. I thought that too. I thought maybe what I said sounded like a lie." She revealed how she felt at the time.
Fumi also reveals that she came all the way to Tsukumoya Town but didn't have the courage to talk to Kanoko. "I'm sorry. I was afraid of telling a little lie, so I didn't tell you the whole truth. I love you, Kanoko. I love you." Hearing her mother's words, Kanoko burst into tears and said, "Mom..."
