The "Haikyu!! Famous Quotes Visual Book," featuring quotes from Haruichi Furudate's popular volleyball manga "Haikyu!!," will be included as an appendix to the magazine "Sportiva Volleyball Special 2024 Winter" (Shueisha), which will be released on December 10th. In the visual book, which features color illustrations and famous quotes, 55 players from the volleyball league "SV League" talk passionately about their favorite quotes and their feelings.
The issue featured Japanese national team players such as Ishikawa Yuki, Nishida Yuji, and Takahashi Ai. In addition to interviews with the players as they enter the new season, the issue also includes photos of their plays and practice sessions.
"Haikyu!!" was serialized in "Weekly Shonen Jump" (published by the same publisher) from February 2012 to July 2020. The story follows Hinata Shoyo, who suffered a crushing defeat in his final official match in middle school, as he reunites with Kageyama Tobio, a member of the opposing team, at the Karasuno High School volleyball club, where they move on to higher education, and the two of them aim to reach the top. The series has sold over 60 million copies in total.
The first season of the TV anime aired from April to September 2014, the second from October 2015 to March 2016, the third from October to December 2016, and the first cour of the fourth season aired from January to April 2020 and the second cour from October to December 2020. The first part of the new film series, "Haikyu!! The Movie FINAL," was released in February and was a huge hit, grossing over 20 billion yen worldwide.
