Fuji TV's latest anime news event "Fujiani 2025" was held in Tokyo on December 9th, where it was announced that a project will be launched to commemorate the 10th anniversary of the anime "Assassination Classroom," based on the popular manga by Matsui Yusei, in 2025. Jun Fukuyama, the voice actor of Koro-sensei, appeared and spoke of his thoughts, saying, "If I hadn't met Koro-sensei, there are many things I wouldn't be doing now. As I spoke as Koro-sensei, something sprouted within me." On this day, Fukuyama, wearing a black suit, drew laughter as he said, "Over the course of 10 years, I've become dressed like an assassin that appears in the work."
As the first part of the 10th anniversary project, all 47 episodes of the TV anime will be rebroadcast over the course of a year on Fuji TV and other stations starting in April 2025. It was also announced that a "Korosensei Shrine" will be exhibited at the Fuji TV Mall on the first floor of Fuji TV headquarters (Minato Ward, Tokyo) from December 28th, and Fukuyama was delighted, saying "Yay!"
"Assassination Classroom" is a manga that was serialized in "Weekly Shonen Jump" (Shueisha) from July 2012 to March 2016. The story revolves around Koro-sensei, a mysterious creature who evaporated 70% of the moon, who becomes the homeroom teacher of Class 3-E at Kunugigaoka Middle School, a school filled with underachievers, and the students attempt to assassinate him.
The TV anime aired from January to June 2015 and January to June 2016. The spin-off, Korosensei Q (Quest)!, was also made into an anime. A live-action movie starring Hey! Say! JUMP's Yamada Ryosuke was also released.
