It has been revealed that the voice actor for Franky in the anime "ONE PIECE," based on Eiichiro Oda's popular manga, will be replaced. Kazuki Yao has played Franky, but he will be replaced. The successor will be announced at the event "Jump Festa 2025" to be held at Makuhari Messe (Mihama-ku, Chiba City) on December 22, and Yao's graduation ceremony will also be held.
The series' official website announced, "Yao Kazuki, who is currently playing the role of Franky, will be graduating from the Straw Hat Pirates. This decision was made after lengthy discussions."
Yao wrote on his Twitter account, "A sad farewell has come, with someone I've spent nearly a quarter of a century walking through life with... Maybe it was an astral projection, but a gap has formed between me and the Franky I had always dreamed of... so I've decided to step down from Sunny for now. It's frustrating! It's sad!! I'm so sorry," and commented about his successor, "I've prepared a super successor! Look forward to the JF on December 22nd."
