Part 1 of "BEASTARS FINAL SEASON," the final episode of the anime "BEASTARS," based on the manga by Itagaki Paru that was serialized in "Weekly Shonen Champion" (Akita Shoten), began streaming on Netflix on December 5th. The cast of new characters was announced, revealing that Kuwashima Houko will play Reano, Minaguchi Yuko will play Toki, Seki Tomokazu will play Desico, Nakao Ryusei will play Cornu, Muro Genki will play Sunaga, Aoki Ruriko will play Azuki, and Sugita Tomokazu will play Holger.
"BEASTARS" is a manga that features anthropomorphized animals. It depicts a group drama of animals including the gray wolf Legoshi, set in a world where carnivores and herbivores coexist and "cannibalism" is taboo. It also attracted attention when it was selected for the "Manga Taisho 2018" award. It was serialized in "Weekly Shonen Champion" from 2016 to 2020.
The anime is produced by Orange, the studio behind "Land of the Lustrous." Legoshi is played by Kobayashi Chikahiro and Haru is played by Senbongi Ayaka. The first season aired from October to December 2019, and the second season from January to March 2021.
