The Yahoo! Search Awards 2024, which ranks people, works, and products that have seen a sudden increase in search numbers in 2024 compared to the previous year, were announced on December 4th, with actor Yumi Kawai taking first place in the actor category.
Kawai has appeared in popular works such as the hit drama "Futehodo" (TBS) and the movie "Namibia's Desert." She has also appeared in commercials for major companies such as Uniqlo, Ajinomoto, and Suntory, making her the "face of the year."
In second place was Choi Jung-hyub, who made his first appearance in a Japanese drama in "Eye Love You" (TBS), and in third place was Deguchi Natsuki, who played the heroine in the drama "Blue Moment" (Fuji TV), Wakaba Ryuya, who appeared in "Unmet: The Diary of a Brain Surgeon" (Kantele), and Matsumoto Wakana, who played the lead role in "Saionji-san Doesn't Do Housework" (TBS).All of the top names were actors who appeared as main cast members in dramas.
