To celebrate the 15th anniversary of the serialization of Kazue Kato's popular manga Blue Exorcist, which is currently being serialized in Shueisha's Jump SQ., it has been announced that the first-ever exhibition, Blue Exorcist Exhibition, will be held at Matsuya Ginza Event Square on the 8th floor (Chuo-ku, Tokyo) from March 11, 2025. In addition to the display of handwritten manuscripts, production materials will be shown for the first time, allowing visitors to look back on the story with Kato's commentary. An original exhibition photo spot will be set up within the venue, and original merchandise will also be on sale.
A key visual drawn by Kato was also released. As a bonus, visitors will receive one of five commemorative photo-style bromides (chosen at random) featuring Kato's original illustration.
In addition to the regular ticket, a merchandise-packed ticket will be sold, which will include a set of clear cards of nine characters, including Okumura Rin, and a bookmark with each character's weapon and belongings. Prior to general sales starting on January 18, 2025, tickets will be sold in advance at a special counter in the Lawson/HMV&BOOKS booth at Jump Festa 2025, which will be held at Makuhari Messe (Mihama-ku, Chiba City) on December 21 and 22. Customers who purchase a merchandise-packed ticket at Jump Festa will receive a limited edition novelty, a ticket card that looks like an invitation from Mephisto. The novelty is inspired by an invitation from Mephisto Pheles.
The exhibition will be held at the Matsuya Ginza 8th floor Event Square from March 11 to 24, 2025. A traveling exhibition is also planned, with a tour at PARCO HALL on the 9th floor of the South Building of Nagoya PARCO (Naka-ku, Nagoya) from June 28 to July 27, 2025, and at the Museum of Kyoto (Nakagyo-ku, Kyoto) in the summer of 2025.
"Blue Exorcist" is a manga that has been serialized in "Jump SQ." since May 2009. It depicts the protagonist, Okumura Rin, who is the child of Satan but works as an exorcist who exorcises demons, and the bond he forms with his friends. The comics have sold over 25 million copies in total. The TV anime "Blue Exorcist" aired in 2011, and the movie version "Blue Exorcist: The Movie" was released in 2012. The TV anime "Blue Exorcist: Kyoto Impure King Arc" aired in 2017.
The new TV anime series, "Shimane Keimei Society Arc," the first in about seven years, aired from January to March this year. "Yuki no Hate Arc" will start airing in October. It has also been announced that "Yosuga Arc" will start airing in January 2025.
