It has been announced that the 34th episode, "First Attack of the Reverse-Blade Sword", the first completely new episode of the second season of "Kyoto Uprising", the new TV anime "Rurouni Kenshin: Meiji Swordsman Romantic Story", based on the popular manga by Nobuhiro Watsuki, will be broadcast on Fuji TV's late-night anime slot "Noitamina" and other channels on December 5th. In the 33rd episode, "Forbidden Drawing of the Sword", which aired on November 28th, Kenshin is shown reminiscing about the time when he defeated Cho, one of the Ten Swords and known as the "Sword Hunter", and received the reverse-blade sword from Arai Sekisora after the battle. In the following episode, episode 34, Kenshin wields his reverse-blade sword for the first time under his vow not to kill, and becomes the wanderer Himura Kenshin. "Rurouni Kenshin" is a popular manga that was serialized in "Weekly Shonen Jump" (Shueisha) from 1994 to 1999. It depicts Himura Kenshin, who was feared as a Battousai assassin during the late Edo period, as a wanderer who vowed not to kill after the Meiji Restoration, searching for a way to live in a new era. A new chapter, "Rurouni Kenshin - Meiji Swordsman Romantic Story Hokkaido Arc -", has been serialized in the monthly manga magazine "Jump SQ." (Square) (Same publisher) since 2017. The new anime will be fully supervised by the original author Watsuki from the character design to the scenario, and will reconstruct the original work from the first episode.
