Actor Manda Hisako will appear on Kuroyanagi Tetsuko's long-running talk show "Tetsuko's Room" (TV Asahi), broadcasting at 1pm on November 11th.
Now 66 years old, she believes that "fashion is patience" and works out whenever she has time, going to the gym, swimming pool, and strength training. Her current passion is "aerial yoga." She hangs her body from a hammock and flips upside down like an acrobat. She trains every day because she wants to be able to wear her favorite clothes and high heels forever.
Looking back, she says that her love of fashion from a young age was largely influenced by watching her mother, who was good at dressmaking. Until she was 19, most of her clothes were handmade by her mother, and even the hats that are now her trademark were handmade by her mother. When her mother passed away and it was decided to sell the house they were living in, she revealed that she brought home her mother's favorite sewing machine and sewing box as mementos.
