Singer Mika Kamino will appear on Tetsuko Kuroyanagi's long-running talk show "Tetsuko's Room" (TV Asahi), broadcasting at 1:00 pm on November 8th.
Kamino debuted 41 years ago. She played singer Shizuko Kasagi in a musical drama a few years ago, and says that her respect for Kasagi has grown. In the studio, she will perform a song sung by the "Queen of Boogie," which was also a hot topic in the morning drama. It was singer Aki Yashiro, who passed away at the end of last year, who gave her the opportunity to try new singing worlds such as Kasagi's songs and jazz. She was also close to Yashiro Aki in her private life, and she talked about her memories, saying that she was sad to lose her, as she looked up to her like an older sister.
She suddenly announced her remarriage in the spring. In fact, she had remarried a little while ago. She revealed that she had been in a slump for the past few years, so just having her husband by her side gives her a sense of security more than anything else. Since her remarriage, she has grown closer to her ex-husband, lyricist Toyohisa Araki, who is 22 years older than her, and they have started having meals together frequently. She says it all started with a comment made by her current husband, but the restaurant staff didn't know about it, so she says with a laugh that whenever she went in with her ex-husband, he would suddenly panic.
