The 30th episode of the second season of the new TV anime "Rurouni Kenshin: Meiji Swordsman Romantic Story," "Kyoto Disturbance," based on the popular manga by Nobuhiro Watsuki, "Encounter in the Forest," will be broadcast on Fuji TV's late-night anime slot "Noitamina" and elsewhere from November 7th. The 30th episode features the appearance of the fallen monk Yukyuzan Anji. Anji is played by voice actor Wataru Hatano.
Sanosuke is lost and making his way through the forest, heading towards Kyoto. On the way, he meets the fallen monk Yukyuzan Anji, who is in training. After witnessing Anji's technique, which unleashes a tremendous impact, Sanosuke decides to learn Anji's secret of destruction, the Double Kiwami, which he has mastered over the course of 10 years. Anji sets a condition for Sanosuke: he must learn it in one month. If he cannot, he will be killed. In response to these harsh conditions, Sanosuke declares that he will learn it in one week. Sanosuke's life-threatening training begins.
"Rurouni Kenshin" is a popular manga that was serialized in "Weekly Shonen Jump" (Shueisha) from 1994 to 1999. It depicts Himura Kenshin, who was feared as the Battousai assassin during the late Edo period, as a wanderer who has sworn not to kill after the Meiji Restoration, searching for a way to live in a new era. A new chapter, "Rurouni Kenshin: Meiji Swordsman Romantic Story Hokkaido Arc", has been serialized in the monthly manga magazine "Jump SQ." (Shueisha) since 2017. The new anime will be fully supervised by the original author Watsuki, from character design to scenario, and will reconstruct the original work from the first episode onwards. The first season aired from July to December 2023.
