It has been announced that the first giveaway for attendees of the movie version of "Fuuto PI: Portrait of Kamen Rider Skull," an anime adaptation of "Fuuto PI," which is based on the manga sequel to the special effects drama "Kamen Rider W," will be volume 6.5 of "Futo Tantei," which will be distributed from November 8, the day of the release. The original manga's creators, Sanjo Riku and Sato Masaki, will feature a newly drawn manga entitled "Portraits of S/Essentials for a Detective," which depicts Shotaro's time as a detective's assistant.
Volume 6.5 of "Fuuto PI" will also feature a roundtable discussion between Sanjo, Sato, and Ari Taishi, the original editor of the manga "Futo Tantei," a gallery of dopant designs by creature designer Terada Katsuya, and part of the original draft for the 48th episode, "Portrait of S 2/Our Town," which is the original for the movie version.
A special program to commemorate the release of the movie, "Special feature on highlights of the movie 'Fuuto PI Kamen Rider Skull' movie" will be broadcast on TOKYO MX from 7pm on November 2nd. Appearances will include Yoshimasa Hosoya, who plays Hidari Shotaro, Koki Uchiyama, who plays Philip, Akiyoshi Sekine, who plays Tokime, Mikako Komatsu, who plays Narumi Akiko, Kenjiro Tsuda, who plays Narumi Sokichi, and executive producer Hideaki Tsukada.
The movie-related works, "Kamen Rider x Kamen Rider OOO & Double feat. Skull MOVIE War CORE", "Online version Kamen Rider W FOREVER AtoZ 26 consecutive hilarious moments: S's Choice/Recommended by the great detective" and "Kamen Rider W FOREVER AtoZ/Gaia Memory of Fate" will be released for free on YouTube from November 1st.
The movie will be an animated version of the popular episode "Begins Night," which will reveal what happened to Hidari Shotaro, Philip, and Narumi Soukichi on the night Kamen Rider W was born. Following the anime series "Fuuto Tantei," which was distributed on the video distribution service "U-NEXT" from August 2022, it will be directed by Kabashima and produced by Studio KAI. It will be screened in theaters for a limited time from November 8th.
"Fuuto PI" has been serialized in "Weekly Big Comic Spirits" (Shogakukan) since August 2017. It depicts the detective buddy team of Hidari Shotaro and Philip, and the mysterious beauty Tokime, as they face a new strange incident that unfolds in Fuuto. The drama staff has reunited, with Sanjo, known for the manga "DRAGON QUEST - The Adventures of Dai," in charge of the script, illustrator Terada in charge of the creature design, and Toei's Tsukada Hideaki in charge of supervision.
