The socially conscious drama "The Goddess Who Lost a Name," which was broadcast on Fuji TV in April 2011 and starred actress Anne as a housewife caught up in "mom friend hell," will begin airing on the station's rebroadcast time slot "Happy Hour" (Kanto local, weekdays 2:48-3:45 pm) on October 23rd (the same time slot is currently airing rebroadcasts of "Higashino Keigo Mysteries" from 1:50-2:48 pm).
The story depicts the fierce struggle of five mom friends preparing for school entrance exams. Akiyama Yuko, played by Anne, continued to work after giving birth and left her son in daycare, but was laid off and became a full-time housewife. After moving to a new place, she makes her first mom friends and decides to have her son "take the school entrance exam," but she is faced with the tensions of jealousy, vanity, lies, betrayal, and other conflicts between mom friends, as well as the suffocating and difficult nature of a society dominated by women, and her values are shaken... Episode 1: After graduating from junior college, Yuko (Anne) gets a job at a house builder and marries Akiyama Takumi (Tsuruno Takeshi), who works for a food manufacturer. Yuko continues working after giving birth to her eldest son, Kenta (Fujimoto Kanata), but just as she buys an apartment, she is asked by her company to transfer her to a different part of the country, forcing her to quit. After the move, Kenta starts attending a nearby kindergarten, where Yuko meets four other moms who have children the same age as Kenta.
Chihiro (Ono Machiko) is the mother of Sawa (Nagashima Terumi) and serves as an officer at the kindergarten. Her husband, Hidetaka (Takahashi Issei), is a banker. Mao (Kurashina Kana) is a delinquent mom who got married to truck driver Riku (Igarashi Junji) and gave birth to her daughter, Rara (Tani Kanon), at the age of 18. Rikako (Ryo) is Kaito's (Uchida Junki) mother and the owner of an online shop. Her husband is former popular model Kei (Kuroki Keiji), and she has an 11-year-old son named Sorato (Imai Yuki) from her previous marriage. Reina (Kimura Yoshino) is Ayaka's (Kobayashi Seiran) mother and a charismatic reader model for a housewife magazine. Her husband Koji (Hirayama Hiroyuki) is a successful company president who built a wedding business in one generation.
Since there were no full-time housewives around, Yuko felt confused about how to interact with her mommy friends. According to Rikako, everyone was secretly thinking about "entrance exams". At that time, Kenta was invited to Ayaka's birthday party... and so the story unfolds.
