The second episode of "New Prince of Tennis U-17 WORLD CUP SEMIFINAL", a sequel to the TV anime "New Prince of Tennis U-17 WORLD CUP" based on the popular tennis manga "New Prince of Tennis" by Konomi Takeshi, "Blue Bird", will be broadcast on TV Tokyo and other networks on October 9th.
The first semifinal match of the U-17 World Cup is S3 (singles three). Oni Jujiro from Japan and Q.P, the number two player on the team from Germany, will appear. Both players hit shots with unparalleled accuracy, and even in a power contest, neither gives an inch. While Oni approaches with overwhelming force, Q.P. has a play style that can be described as cold-hearted, viewing the cheers from the crowd as noise and admonishing the umpire.
The origins of this style can be found in his childhood, when he started playing tennis.
"The Prince of Tennis" is a manga that was serialized in "Weekly Shonen Jump" (Shueisha) from 1999 to 2008. It follows the story of Echizen Ryoma, a tennis genius who rises to prominence in the Seishun Academy tennis club, and his growth as he battles against rival schools. A new series, "The New Prince of Tennis", has been serialized in "Jump SQ." (Shueisha) since 2009. The TV anime "SEMIFINAL" depicts the battle between Japan and Germany in the U-17 World Cup semi-finals.
