British singer Sarah Brightman will appear on Tetsuko Kuroyanagi's long-running talk show "Tetsuko's Room" (TV Asahi), airing on June 12th at 1 PM. The diva continues to captivate the world with numerous hit songs, including "Time to Say Goodbye." Her music gained attention when figure skater Kaori Sakamoto used one of Brightman's songs to win a silver medal at the Milan-Cortina Olympics in February.
Brightman made his stage debut at the age of 13 and has a career spanning over 50 years. He possesses a vocal range of more than three octaves. He has been a big fan of Japan since his first visit in his twenties. Kuroyanagi was surprised when he revealed his unexpected favorite food: "tororo" (grated yam).
From his childhood in a large family of six siblings, which formed the foundation of his success, to his gratitude towards his mother, and his life with parrots and dogs, surprising aspects of his personality are revealed one after another. The untold story of "The Phantom of the Opera," which became a turning point in his rise to global stardom, is also unveiled.
