It has been revealed that actress Mei Hata will be co-hosting the new NTV music program "Yoru no Oto -TOKYO MIDNIGHT MUSIC-" (Tuesdays at 12:24 AM), which is hosted by Fuma Kikuchi of "timelesz". This will be Hata's first time hosting a program, and she expressed her enthusiasm, saying, "I hope to carefully bring out the feelings that are embedded in the music."
"Yoru no Oto" is a music program that features one artist each week, carefully unraveling the thoughts and background behind their songs, and delivering a studio live performance that condenses that story. Through talks with the MC and video production, the program delves into the behind-the-scenes aspects and struggles of the artists' creative process, which are rarely seen. Furthermore, in the climax, the program teams up with top creators from various fields, such as choreographers, video creators, and stage directors, to deliver a special stage performance that expresses the world of the song to the fullest.
The first episode will air on April 7th at 12:24 AM, and a special program (broadcast only in the Kanto region) will air prior to the first episode on March 31st at 1:29 AM.
◇Comment from Mei Hata
I felt this was a very appealing program that allows us to deeply understand the feelings that the artists put into their songs and the stories behind them. As an actor, I have been deeply moved many times by the moments when music, such as theme songs and insert songs, amplifies the emotions of the story many times over. With that gratitude for music in my heart, I would like to carefully draw out the words of the artists and the feelings that are embedded in their music as an MC. I am nervous as this is my first time being entrusted with such an important role as an MC, but I will do my best to deliver a special time together with Fuma Kikuchi.
