The popular NHK program "Cooking Idol Ai! Mai! Main!", starring actress Haruka Fukuhara, will be rebroadcast on NHK Educational TV from 12:45 a.m. on January 1st. Episodes 1 to 4 of "National Cooking," in which the main character, Main Hiiragi (played by Fukuhara), sets off on a nationwide tour to express her gratitude to her fans, will be aired all at once.
Cooking Idol Ai! Mai! Main! is a food education and cooking program for children that is made up of both animation and live action. The story follows the main character, Hiiragi Main, who becomes the host of a cooking show at a fictional TV station, as she grows as a "cooking idol" through singing and cooking.
The show aired from 2009 to 2013, and featured Fukuhara as a child actress. Fukuhara has remained popular with viewers as "Main-chan" even after the show ended.
