It has been announced that Kenichi Suzumura, Chiharu Sawashiro, Ryota Takeuchi, Daichi Endo , and Kenichi Suzumura will be appearing as the voice actors for the Ten Braves, the surnamed group of Ten Braves, in the new anime series "Samurai Troopers," which is the official sequel to the "Samurai Ryota Takeuchi" series that aired on TV from April 1988 to March 1989. Suzumura will play Nezu, Sawashiro will play Anayama, Takeuchi will play Unno, Endo will play Kakei, and Kumagai will play Mochizuki. "Samurai Troopers" is the first new anime in about 35 years since the OVA "Samurai Troopers MESSAGE" released in 1991, and the first time a TV anime series has been broadcast in about 37 years.
The ending theme "POWER" by the popular group "ONE OR EIGHT" plays, and the second promotional video, which depicts the Samurai Troopers fighting against the Yoja, has also been released on YouTube.
It has also been announced that Takuya Sato will play Sasuke, one of the Ten Braves' name group, Kosuke Toriumi will play Saizou, Takuma Terashima will play Kamanosuke, Tomokazu Sugita Sugita will play Seikai Nyudo, and Kohei Amasaki Amasaki will play Isanyudo.
Suzumura commented, "This is the sequel to the Samurai Troopers that I watched as a child! I'm honored to be able to take part. Among the Ten Braves, Unno is the calm and opinionated one who supports his comrades! The surname group... aren't you all curious? Kumagai commented, "First of all, I am very honored to be involved in this work. Mochizuki is a little timid and reserved, but he is the youngest character in the family with a surname and is very caring towards his friends. The new series is an entirely original story set in present-day Shinjuku, and will be directed by Yoichi Fujita, known for "Gintama" and "Mr. Osomatsu Osomatsu," with series composition and scriptwriting by Shogo Muto, known for "Kamen Rider Build," "Crows Zero," and "Thermae Romae." It will be produced by Sunrise and will air on TOKYO MX, Kansai TV, and BS11 starting January 6, 2026. It will be split into two seasons.
"Samurai Troopers" is an anime produced by Sunrise, depicting five boys who possess "Yoroigia" (armored armor) who are brought together by fate to fight against the evil army led by the evil emperor Arago. The TV anime aired from April 1988 to March 1989, and due to its popularity an OVA was also produced. "Samurai Troopers Gaiden" was released in 1989, "Samurai Troopers: Legend of the Bright Emperor" was released from 1989 to 1990, and "Samurai Troopers: Message" was released in 1991. A comic book adaptation by Hoshino Ryuichi was serialized in "Comic Bonbon" (Kodansha).
