Actor Hayato Ichihara will appear on Kuroyanagi Tetsuko's long-running talk show "Tetsuko's Room" (TV Asahi), which will be broadcast at 1:00 p.m. on October 23rd.
Next year will mark 25 years as an actor. He has recently been practicing the shamisen to prepare for his roles, and says it has given him the opportunity to learn about Japanese culture. He also talks about the constant struggles of preparing for his roles, such as the much talked about NHK Taiga drama "UNBOUND" in which he appeared this year.
In his spare time from work, he also enjoys his hobby of photography. He sometimes travels overseas to take photographs and travels around Japan. He has always loved making things, and this year he actually experienced "steel making" in Izumo. He says that he has been good at cooking since he was a child, influenced by his mother, and that the film he appeared in taught him the importance of food.
