It has been announced that Puni-chan's "doting" villainess light novel, "The Villainess Is Adored by the Prince of the Neighbor Kingdom," from B's Log Bunko (KADOKAWA), will be adapted into a TV anime and will air in January 2026. It will be directed by Hamana Takayuki and produced by Studio Deen. Mai Fuchigami will play the protagonist, Tearrose, with Yuichiro Umehara as Aquasteed, Takuya Sato as Hartnight, and Yumiri Hanamori as Akari.
The story is about the protagonist, Tiararose, who is reincarnated as the "villainous young lady" from the otome game she loved in her previous life, and is proposed to by Aquasteed, the crown prince of a neighboring country and the hero of the sequel, leading to a development that is not found in the game... The total number of copies of the series has exceeded 5.6 million.
Director Hamana commented, "When I first read the original novel, 'The Villainess is Adored by the Crown Prince of the Neighboring Country,' I was impressed by how carefully Tiara's feelings were portrayed, and how realistic it felt. I have put a lot of effort into creating an image that conveys Tiara's feelings so that everyone watching can understand how I felt at the time. We are currently working on the film so that you can enjoy the romance, games, magic, fairies, and other highlights. Please look forward to it."
