A clip from the movie "Candlestick" (directed by Kota Yonekura), starring actor Hiroshi Abe, which will be released on the 4th of July, was released on YouTube. The clip shows four "good-for-nothings" with a connection to each other from the past, including the protagonist Kentaro Nohara (played by Abe), a former genius hacker, reuniting for the first time in five years to launch a plan to steal FX money.
The film is a Japan-Taiwan co-production, a "money suspense" set in six cities around the world, including Japan and Taiwan. On May 7, 2019, when the era name changes from Heisei to Reiwa, the day when Japan's financial system is at its most vulnerable, Nohara, who has been released from prison after serving five years, devises a plan to deceive the AI feared as the "guardian of financial transactions" and steal a huge amount of money.
Nanao plays Nohara's lover and FX trader Kyoko, who is the most important person to him, Kenjiro Tsuda plays Kyoko's ex-husband and mathematician Isao, and Taiwan's top actor Alyssa Chia plays Rinne, an ambitious woman who once betrayed Nohara.
A special interview video between Abe and Alyssa Chia was also released on YouTube.
