Singer Masayuki Suzuki's latest tour Osaka performance, which will be held at the Festival Hall (Kita-ku, Osaka) on July 16th, will be broadcast live on WOWOW on the same day. Special guests appearing on the day include his sister, singer Kiyomi Suzuki, singer Kumi Koda, and singer-songwriter Taiiku Okazaki, who have made comments.
Kiyomi commented, "Congratulations on your 45th anniversary! And thank you for inviting me to this memorable tour. I think it will be a live performance that reminds me of the time when I used to perform at Ruido (a live house). I'm looking forward to it. I'll do my best!"
Koda commented, "Congratulations on your 45th anniversary. I have been given the opportunity to appear as a guest at the live concert of my much respected senior, Martin. I am truly honoured to have been asked. I am extremely happy and grateful to be performing Martin's signature song, "Megumi no Hito," on stage this time. I have had the opportunity to sing "Megumi no Hito" on various occasions up until now, but this time I have added my own unique touch to it and hope to provide a fun time with Martin. I look forward to your support!"
Okazaki commented, "Hello! I'm Taiiku Okazaki! I'm a very energetic singer-songwriter! I'm so humbled and happy to have the amazing experience of singing with Martin! I'll do my best, so I hope you'll support me!!!"
Suzuki, also known as the "King of Love Songs," is celebrating his 45th anniversary since debuting as part of the group "The Chanels" and released his anniversary best album "All Time Doo Wop!!" on April 16th. Following this, he embarked on a nationwide tour, "Masayuki Suzuki Taste of Martini Tour 2025 ~Step123 Season 2 "All Time Doo Wop"~," which began on the 19th of the same month. As the titles of the album and tour indicate, the show is packed with "Doo Wop," the origin of Suzuki's music, and is a stage packed with his 45-year history, including pop numbers such as the classic "Runaway" and "Megumi no Hito," which has been covered by many artists, as well as his signature superb love songs.
The Osaka performance will be broadcast and streamed live on WOWOW Live and WOWOW On Demand from 6:30 pm on July 16th.
