64-year-old TV personality Kuniko Yamada will appear on Tetsuko Kuroyanagi's long-running talk show "Tetsuko's Room" (TV Asahi) on May 23rd at 1pm. Last year, she was appointed president of the Japan Comedy Association. Recently, she has been appearing on stage at entertainment halls more often, and this time she will perform her familiar studio material "The Cute Kuni-chan Bus Guide" with Kuroyanagi.
It has been 45 years since she entered the entertainment industry after graduating from junior college. At the time, it was her mother who persuaded her father, who was against her going into the entertainment industry. She always supported her, making her stage costumes and taking her home when she overslept.
Such a mother passed away two years ago at the age of 89. Since my mother loved cheerful and lively things, at her funeral, she sang a cheerful song together with her sister, singer Miyuki Kawanaka. My mother, who passed away just before turning 90, spent her final days in a nursing home. She says that she has no regrets as a family member, thanks to the excellent care she received.
Yamada begins to think about his own end-of-life planning and suggests that Kuroyanagi move into a nursing home with him. What is Kuroyanagi's response?
