TV Tokyo's popular information variety show "Appear! Ad Street Heaven" (Saturday 9pm) will feature the area around Gumyoji Station (Minami Ward, Yokohama) on the Keikyu Line and Yokohama Municipal Subway on the December 13th broadcast.
Gumyoji Temple, from which the station is named, is the oldest temple in Yokohama. The temple town is home to the Gumyoji Kannon-dori Shopping Arcade, which retains the atmosphere of a downtown area. Crystal Noda of the comedy duo Magical Lovely serves as the shopping arcade's "Hometown Ambassador."
The program features a shopping street market and cash grab venue where year-end sales are taking place, a bar where the interior and menu are all inspired by professional wrestling, and a really crazy shop... Super big! Heavyweight steaks, a fierce battleground for bread! Anpan and rusks of the week, and a popular butcher shop! Introducing Italian roast pork porchetta.
In addition, there will be a ginger pork specialty shop where you can compare different cuts of meat, a dried sardine ramen and gout soba shop, a yakitori and eel specialty shop with a standing bar, and a popular Western confectionery shop that offers three different types of Mont Blanc alone.
