Kana Kita , who also made waves for her role as Rio in the NHK Asadora drama "Bakebake " (General), will appear in the drama series "Reunion ~Silent Truth~" (TV Asahi, Tuesdays at 9pm), starring Takeuchi Ryoma, which will start on January 13, 2026. She will play Imai Hiromi, the live-in girlfriend of the main character, Tobina Junichi (Takeuchi).
The film is based on Yokoseki Dai's novel "Reunion" (Kodansha), which won the 56th Edogawa Rampo Prize in 2010. Junichi and four other classmates share a "secret" when they bury the gun used in a crime under a cherry tree at their elementary school. 23 years later, Junichi, now a detective, reunites with his first love, Iwamoto Makiko (Inoue Mao), one of the four, only to discover she is a suspect in a new murder case, and the murder weapon is the gun he buried long ago. This heartbreaking human love mystery begins with a fateful reunion.
Hiromi, played by Kita, is a nurse who began dating Junichi three years ago when he visited the hospital where she was working at the time. She has a calm personality and is considerate of those around her, and is well-liked within the hospital. Although she has not yet considered marriage, she lives happily with Junichi.
However, after Junichi reunites with his first love, Makiko, his heart begins to waver at unexpected moments. Hiromi also notices the slight changes in Junichi's heart. Furthermore, Hiromi has a hidden side to her that even Junichi doesn't know about...
