Rakugo performer Katsura Bunshichi will appear on Kuroyanagi Tetsuko's long-running talk show "Tetsuko's Room" (TV Asahi) on May 5th at 1pm. This show is the first public recording in the Kansai region. Bunshichichi brought his ukulele, which has been his hobby for many years, and got it signed by his idol, Kayama Yuzo, and the audience of over 1,000 listened intently to the sound of the ukulele he played.
He is participating in this Expo as a "senior advisor," but he was also involved in the 1970 Expo as the host of a special program. He talks about his memories of that time.
He lost his wife and mother four years ago. He lives alone with a cute robot in the center of Osaka. He has always loved cutting-edge technology, and even now in his 80s, he writes his original rakugo stories on a computer and uses Alexa on a daily basis.
