The second episode of the drama series " Ameku M.D.: Doctor Detective " (TV Asahi, Tuesdays at 9pm), starring actress Kanna Hashimoto , aired on April 29th, and viewers commented that it was similar to a popular drama from the past.

The drama is based on the novel of the same name by Mikito Chinen, which has sold over 3.6 million copies in total and was also made into a TV anime. This medical mystery is about the buddy team of Takao (played by Hashimoto), a genius doctor with an extraordinary intellect and insight, and Takanashi (played by Shohei Miura), an internist, who solve mysterious illnesses, murder cases, and even paranormal phenomena.
In the second episode, a patient named Maki (Myu Moriyama) is rushed to the hospital in a confused state after countless mysterious handprints appear on her arm, screaming, "The water god is trying to kill me!", and the theme of the episode is to solve the mystery of her strange condition.
The occult-themed storyline has led to comments on social media such as, "It's kind of like TRICK," "Is this really TRICK...? lol," "This episode had a TRICK feel to it and it's so great...!" and "It's becoming really TRICK-like," with many saying it resembles the popular TV drama "TRICK" (TV Asahi), starring Nakama Yukie and Hiroshi Abe.
The film is directed by Kimura Hisashi, who also directed "Trick," which resulted in comments such as "Is the director of this story the same person who directed TRICK lol," "I thought it had a TRICK feel to it, and it was director Kimura Hisashi! That makes sense!!," "It really is TRICK lol," and "It was fun! I love TRICK so I really felt that this time around."
