The drama series "Nami uraraka ni, meoto biyori" (Fuji TV, Thursdays at 10pm) starring Kyoko Yoshine. The synopsis and stills from the second episode, which will air on May 1st, have been released.
Natsumi Ebata (Yoshine) and Imperial Navy lieutenant Takimasa (Honda Kyoya) suddenly get married. Not knowing how to interact with each other, they lead an awkward married life.
Takimasa will be away for work for two months. Natsumi, who is waiting for her husband, receives a telegram from Takimasa.
Shibahara Ikuko (Wakui Emi), who lives in the main house, hears that Natsumi and Takimasa will be meeting the day after tomorrow and says, "It's our honeymoon! We need to get dressed up!"
Natsumi puts on a dress and heads to the promised location. When he appears, Takitakazu appears wearing a white military uniform and cap. They are entranced by each other's appearance, and the atmosphere becomes tense. Afterwards, they eat their first cream buns at a bakery, and then go to the beach.
That night, when the two of them got out of the bath at the inn and returned to their room, they found two futons laid out next to each other. Natsumi grew nervous when she saw Takitakazu with the lights out. Takitakazu then opened the window, looked at the stars, and began to explain that he had a job, which involved figuring out the location of ships from the stars and the sun.
Natsumi sits near Takitakacho and listens to him with interest. Now Natsumi starts talking about her family, but blushes as she realizes Takitakacho is staring at her. Natsumi says she feels embarrassed to be looked at, so Takitakacho asks if he can touch her instead of looking. The two hold hands and look at each other...
The story is based on the manga of the same name by Nishika Hachi, which is currently being serialized on Kodansha's manga app Comic Days. It depicts the love story that begins in 1936 between Natsumi, who was proposed to and married without any prior dating, and Imperial Navy lieutenant Takitaka Ebata, starting their married life together.
