The second episode of the drama series " Ameku M.D.: Doctor Detective " (TV Asahi, Tuesday 9pm) starring actress Kanna Hashimoto will be broadcast on April 29th. In the episode, the protagonist Ameku Takao (Hashimoto) challenges the mystery of a strange illness. A patient, Mizuhara Maki (Moriyama), is rushed to Teniikai General Hospital, where Takao serves as vice director, crying and screaming, "The water god is trying to kill me!" Countless handprints appear on Maki's arms, as if someone had grabbed her tightly.
Takao learns from Maki's mother Machiko (Saito Yuki) the myth of the "water god" that continues to curse the family, and sets out to solve the mystery of the strange illness. However, Takao is sucked into the well of the shrine that worships the water god...!? Furthermore, strange phenomena occur one after another, such as Maki "drowning" in bed.
Furthermore, in the same episode, Takao confronts Junko Sumida (Kaname Ouki), the head of the psychiatric department whom he describes as his "natural enemy." Sparks fly over Maki's diagnosis.
The drama is based on the novel of the same name by Mikito Chinen, which has sold over 3.6 million copies in total and was adapted into a TV anime. This medical mystery is a buddy team consisting of Takao, a genius doctor with an extraordinary intellect and insight, and Yu Takanashi (played by Shohei Miura), an internist, who solves mysterious illnesses, murder cases, and even paranormal phenomena.
