It has been revealed that the second season of the TV anime "Aoashi," based on the soccer manga by Yugo Kobayashi currently being serialized in "Weekly Big Comic Spirits" (Shogakukan), will be produced and will air in 2026. The anime will be produced by TMS Entertainment, known for the "Lupin the Third" series. A visual featuring the main character, Aoi Ashito, has also been released.
"Aoashi" is a manga about the youth age group of J-League players, which has been serialized in "Big Comic Spirits" since 2015. It depicts the growth of the main character, Ashito, who becomes a member of a prestigious youth team after being selected. Thirty-eight volumes of the manga have been released, and the total number of copies published has exceeded 23 million. The latest volume, 39, will be released on April 30th.
The first season of the TV anime aired from April to September 2022.
