A special program called "Arigatayama Special" of the NHK Taiga drama " UNBOUND (Berabou) " (General TV, Sundays at 8pm and others), starring actor Ryusei Yokohama , was broadcast on April 27th, and it was found that the average viewership rating (according to Video Research, Kanto region, same below) was 8.3% for households and 4.8% for individuals.
" UNBOUND (Berabou)" is the 64th taiga drama, depicting the life of Tsutaya Juzaburo(or "Tsutajyu" for short), who is said to have built the foundations of Japan's media industry and pop culture. The script was written by Yoshiko Morishita, known for "Drama 10 'Ooku'" which was broadcast on NHK two years ago and became a big hit.
The special program looked back on famous scenes from the drama along with over 1,400 messages received from viewers, ahead of the start of a new chapter in which Tsutaju (Yokohama) will be fully operational as a publisher.
In addition to First Summer Uika, the cast also included Miki Mizuno, who plays Ine, Toshinori Omi, who plays Kizoji Houseidou, and Aoi Nakamura, who plays Jirobei. A special interview with Yokohama and Ken Yasuda Yasuda, who plays Gennai Hiraga, was also introduced.
At the end of the program, a preview video was shown titled "The Future of UNBOUND." It featured Kitagawa Utamaro played by Sometani Shota. New characters such as Tagasode played by Haruka Fukuhara Kenta Kiritani, Ota Ota Nanpo/ AI Hashimoto, and Tei played by Hashimoto Ai were also seen.
