The short drama "Kameyama Couple Wants to Order," starring actors Shogo Hama and Kasumi Yamatani, has been released on Mitsui Home's official YouTube channel and special website. The two actors, who are from the same agency and have a long history of acting together, play the roles of a married couple.
The protagonists are the Kameyama couple, who are considering a custom-built home from among various options as their daughter approaches elementary school. Despite differences in values and conflicts between the couple regarding home building, their relationship gradually changes as they face the "ideal home for each family member" that can only be realized through Mitsui Home's custom-built homes. The film is directed by film director Ryosuke Hayasaka.
Regarding her role as a married couple with Hama, Yamatani said, "I contacted him right away (after receiving the offer)! He said, 'Hama, we're going to be a married couple! We're even going to buy a house!' I was like, 'I had finally come to this point' (laughs). I was really looking forward to it. I think acting starts from being relaxed, so there was no tension from meeting someone for the first time, so there was zero stress."
Hama commented, "I'm 31 this year, but in the past year or so I've been getting more roles as a father or husband. I've recently thought that I'd like to try playing more roles as a father with a family." Yamatani responded, "He was a really good father. He's good at dealing with kids. I played the role of a married couple because I thought that if Hama was the father, his wife would have a lot of fun. I thought he'd be a good husband rather than a boyfriend (laughs)."
The theme song for this film is "Everybody" by Che'Nelle, who is known for songs such as "Believe" and "Baby I Love You," the theme songs for the 2012 film "BRAVE HEARTS: The Great Passage."
