The 18th episode of the NHK Asadora drama "Anpan " starring Mio Imada (General TV, Monday to Saturday at 8:00 AM and others) was broadcast on April 23rd. In the episode, Takashi ( Takumi Kitamura), who is unsure of his future path, his uncle Hiroshi (Yutaka Takenouchi) gives him some heartfelt words of wisdom, and viewers were excited, saying, "He's now a quote machine."
In episode 18, when Taka and Chihiro (Motoki Nakazawa) get into a fight over the issue of succession at Yanai Clinic, Hiroshi says to them, "I'm going to tell you both clearly this time. I'll run this clinic in my generation. I don't need a successor."
He then revealed that Chihiro had not given up on becoming a doctor because she felt bad for Takashi, and supported Chihiro's goal of becoming a lawyer. When he asked Takashi about his future plans, he replied, "I still don't know what I want to be," and said that for now he plans to aim to get into Kochi Daiichi High School, the most difficult school in Kochi.
When Hiroshi asks, "Studying there would surely broaden your future options, but why Kochi Daiichi High School?" Taka replies that it was because he wanted to see the happy face of his mother, Tomiko (Nanako Matsushima).
Hiroshi said, "What? I don't want you to regret and say, 'I wish I had done this or that back then.' You have to struggle until you find out why you were born and what you want to do with your life. Strive like hell."
Hiroshi has often uttered memorable lines in the past, and on social media people have commented, "Handsome uncle Hiroshi utters one wise quote after another," "Yutaka Takenouchi is such a great person that he's basically a wise quote machine," "Uncle Hiroshi is the number one person of character in Kochi," and "Uncle Hiroshi's collection of Anpanman-like quotes is amazing."
