The first episode of the drama series "Ignite" (TBS, Friday 10pm) starring actor Shotaro Mamiya was broadcast on April 18th. The "true identity" of Takuma Kiriishi, played by Mitsuhiro Oikawa, was revealed, becoming a hot topic on social media.
◇The following contains spoilers
The drama is a dark legal entertainment about a lawyer who makes a lot of money by inciting lawsuits. Rookie lawyer Ryo Uzaki (played by Mamiya) jumps into the "Peace Law Firm," known in the industry as "lawless." He ignites the hearts of potential plaintiffs and makes them file lawsuits. The drama depicts a "group of legal outlaws" who use all means to win their cases.
Uzaki's first case was a case involving a worker falling from a silo at Yamagami Industries three years ago. There, he faced off against Kiriishi, who claimed to be Yamagami Industries' legal adviser.
It turns out that Kiriishi was actually a colleague of the "Peace Law Firm." Todoroki (Toru Nakamura) confesses to Uzaki, "I haven't told you this, but he's actually a colleague. We've been working together since before the trial."
Todoroki explained, "We contact our prey before we arrive, slowly work our way into their heart, look for weaknesses in them, and poison them. Then we appear in court as if nothing had happened. We instigate lawsuits and use all means to win. That's Peace Law Office." Uzaki presses him on whether it's okay to deceive clients, but Todoroki replies, "We're both in separate offices, so it's physically possible."
On social media, comments such as, "Ignite is hilarious. Michi is perfect for this kind of role," "Michi is the best," "Oh, Michi is a friend! Awesome!", "Nakamura Toru and Michi are buddy friends, that's just too good!" and "It's great to see these two cool old men, Nakamura Toru and Mitsuhiro Oikawa, teaming up." were posted.
