The second episode of the TBS Sunday Theatre drama " Caster " (Sunday 9pm), starring actor Hiroshi Abe , was broadcast on April 20th, and recorded an average viewership rating (according to Video Research, Kanto region, same below) of 11.7% for households and 7.2% for individuals.
The drama is a social entertainment set in a TV news program, where the truth buried in the darkness is pursued and evil is punished. Abe plays the unconventional newscaster Soichi Shindo, Nagano Mei plays the general director Hana Mei Nagano , who struggles despite being pushed around by Hana Sakikubo , and Michieda Shunsuke of " Naniwa Danshi" plays Yusuke Motohashi, a rookie assistant director aspiring to be a journalist who respects Shindo.
In the second episode, the police searched a sports bar in Roppongi. JBN was in a panic when they found out that Japanese volleyball ace Nawa (Takayuki Suzuki) and announcer Koike (Kanato Tsukishiro), who were also there, were voluntarily taken into custody. Koike, who was released, gave a direct explanation on the show, but when Shindo asked an unexpected question, the sports gambling incident took an unexpected turn... and so it unfolded.
