The 16th episode of the NHK Taiga drama " UNBOUND (Berabou) " (General TV, Sunday 8pm and others), starring actor Ryusei Yokohama , titled "Farewell Gennai, Seeing Horai", will be broadcast on April 20th. Lawyer, actor and talent Motomura Kentaro will also appear in the episode. He plays the role of the owner of the theater that Tsutaju (Yokohama) and Ritsu ( Yumi Adachi) visit, and a photo of him without his trademark glasses has been released.
In addition to Motomura, the episode will feature Yano Masato as Jouemon, Yanagiya Saryu as Karasutei Enma, a friend of Ritsuko's husband and a Joruri writer, and Saito Tomoaki as the carpenter Kugorou.
"UNBOUND (Berabou)" is the 64th taiga drama, depicting the life of Tsutaya Juzaburo(or "Tsutajyu" for short), who is said to have built the foundations of Japan's media industry and pop culture. The script was written by Yoshiko Morishita, known for "Drama 10 'Ooku'" which was broadcast on NHK two years ago and became a big hit.
In episode 16, the case of Iemoto's (Tomoya Oku) sudden death comes to a close without any solid evidence being obtained.
When Okitsugu(Ken Watanabe) tells Gennai (Ken Yasuda) that he will refrain from prying any further, Gennai becomes furious. Meanwhile, Tsutae visits Gennai's mansion, known as the "house of misfortune," and asks him to write a new play for the New Year, but is concerned by his occasional strange behavior.
Just then, Tsutae and Okitsugu receive news that "Gennai has killed someone"... and so the story unfolds.
