The drama series "Mamono" starring Aso Kumiko (TV Asahi, Friday 11:15pm *excluding some regions) will begin airing on April 18th. It is a love suspense story in which a lone lawyer, Hanajin Ayame (Aso), falls in forbidden love with Minamoto Toya (Akihisa Shiono), a man suspected in a murder case. It is an original work co-produced with SLL, the Korean production company that produced "Itaewon Class" and others. The original idea was by Shin Eunyoung, and the screenplay was written by Seki Erika, who also worked on "Second Wife Business" and the adaptation of the Korean drama "My Love from the Star."
A beautiful and charming man, Minamoto Touya, appears before Ayame Kajin, a strong and beautiful lawyer who lives alone. Touya believes that "love = possession" and is a dangerous man with a hidden passion. He is suspected of domestic violence against his wife Natsune (Kita Kana) and is even suspected of murdering a famous university professor. The two should never have met, but they fall in love, which is forbidden, and Ayame works hard to prove Touya's innocence... This is the story.
Kamino Misuzu plays Mogami Yoko, a former popular Caster who is now the president of a cosmetics company, Sano Shiro plays Yoko's husband, Nada Okutaro, and Ochiai Motoki plays the couple's only son, Nada Jun, a classmate of Toya.
Episode 1... The courtroom is filled with spectators. Lawyer Ayame Kajin is sitting in the defendant's seat. "What was the purpose of that crime...?" she mutters to herself. The trial of a "murder case" has begun.
One year ago, Ayame, who works hard every day as an excellent and independent lawyer, was invited to be a panelist at a seminar on domestic violence victims held by a women's group, of which charismatic businesswoman Yoko Mogami is a director. There she met Kanon Minamoto.
Natsune works as a manicurist at the salon run by Yoko. Natsune's husband, Toya, and Yoko's son, Jun, were high school classmates, so the couple rent a detached house in Yoko's house and live there. Although she hints at the violence she receives from her husband out of love, she smiles meaningfully as she leaves.
That night, Ayame gets a call from Natsune. Hearing her frightened cry of "Help me," Ayame assumes that her husband is abusing her and rushes out of the house to save her.
However, at the place where he was supposed to meet Natsune, a man with such handsome features that it seemed impossible he was from another world, Touya, appeared.
Touya apologizes, saying, "My drunk wife called by mistake." He protects Ayame from a reckless cyclist and hugs her tightly. Ayame is confused by Touya's sweet but challenging gaze. She will never forget that warmth.
A few days later, Yoko's husband and Ayame's former professor, Okutaro Nada, is murdered by someone. Touya is arrested as a suspect.
