The Fuji TV Getsuku drama "Second to Last Love 3 " (Mondays at 9pm) starring Kyoko Koizumi and Kiichi Nakai has released a synopsis and stills from the second episode, which will air on April 21st.
Wahei Nagakura (played by Nakai) greets Ritsuko Hayata (played by Hikari Ishida), who has just joined the Kamakura City Tourist Association as a new staff member. When Ritsuko hears his name, her mind is drawn to the adult magazine "Widow" and the word "Kura-chan" that was written on the DVD box left by her late father.
When Yoshino Chiaki (Koizumi) goes to the hospital after feeling palpitations, she is attracted to the refreshing personality of the doctor, Naruse Senji (Miura Tomokazu), and Naruse is also surprised by how similar Chiaki's face is to his late wife's.
Wahei and Ritsuko look around the tourist spots. When Wahei hears Ritsuko say, "Today is the start of my second life," he remembers his own reappointment after retirement and quietly supports her.
Meanwhile, Chiaki, who had left the hospital, once again shares a table with Naruse at a soba restaurant. There, she gets to know Naruse's personality and is captivated by him.
Wahei is dragged into a drinking party with Tsutomu Tadokoro (Matsuo Satoru), who has just become his section chief, to discuss his concerns, while Chiaki enjoys a girls’ night out talking about Naruse with her friends Keiko Araki ( Hiroko Moriguchi) and Sachiko Mizuno (Watanabe Makiko).
Nagakura Mariko (Uchida Yuki) stares at the flyer for "Getsuku Project Recruitment". Mizutani Noriko (Iijima Naoko) is lost in thought on the balcony. Nagakura Shinpei (Sakaguchi Kenji) spends a happy time with his family. Each of them has various thoughts in their minds...
The script is written by Yoshikazu Okada, who also wrote the first and second seasons. Set in Kamakura, the story depicts the love between a TV station producer played by Koizumi and a Kamakura city employee played by Nakai. The theme song will be sung by Ayumi Hamasaki, who also sang the theme song for the first and second seasons.
