On April 15th, Yoshinori Masakado of the popular group " Ae! group " attended a press conference held at the location of the drama " Musashino Rondo " (TV Asahi, Saturday 11pm), in which he stars.
The interview took place at a soba restaurant in Kanagawa Prefecture that was used for filming, as the family home of the main character, Ryuhei Agawa, played by Shokado, is a soba restaurant. Shokado demonstrated soba making while being watched by his co Yugo Kochi , Rin Takanashi , and Yugo Takada and Yui Ichikawa of SixTONES. He said with a shy smile, "It's embarrassing, I've never been watched like this before... but it was fun!"
Takada praised him, saying, "You had such manly hands, it looked cool!" He added, "(Since he was making soba noodles while being watched closely) it was kind of like a zoo... like when a rare animal comes along (lol)." Shomon retorted, "Who said it was a zoo (lol)!"
Takanashi said with a smile, "I knew she had been practicing before filming started, so it felt like a great family recital." Ichikawa praised her, saying, "I think she's the idol who looks best in this kind of (soba chef) outfit in Japan. It really suits her!"
Afterwards, everyone ate the soba noodles that Shokado had made, and when the three of them said "It's delicious!" Shokado grinned with satisfaction and said "I think I did a good job!"
The drama is a film adaptation of Haruka Kawachi's manga (currently being serialized by Shodensha). Ryuhei Agawa, the son of a soba restaurant owner, has had a crush on Tamaki Musashihara (played by Takanashi), who lives next door and is 10 years older than him, since he was a child. He confesses his feelings to her twice in middle and high school, but she never sees him as a romantic partner and he is on the verge of giving up. However, when a rival appears, he begins to approach her vigorously, and after 10 years, his one-sided love begins to move. The drama will begin airing on the 19th.
Shomon said, "As the title Musashino Rondo suggests, it is an ensemble drama in which a love triangle occurs among various characters.I hope you enjoy not only the love scenes, but also each of the characters."
