The second episode of season 2 of the NHK BS period drama "Akinaiseiden Kin to Gin 2" (NHK BS Premium 4K, Sunday 6:45 pm), starring actor Fuka Koshiba, will be broadcast on April 13th. The subtitle of the episode is "Two Gosuzuya." Masumi-ya (Yamanishi Jun) and Gosuzu-ya, who have a grudge against each other due to the Hama Habutae incident, fight over the purchase of Kikyo-ya, but Sachi (Koshiba) and her friends succeed in the purchase.
On the day of the delivery, Sachi and Chizo (Matsumoto Reo) notice that the expressions on Kikyoya's head clerk Shusuke (Izumisawa Yuki) and his staff are gloomy. They are taken aback when Magoroku (Yoshimi Kazutoyo) tells them, "You can't use the Kikyoya name or shop curtain anymore!" However, the day before, Sachi had received some advice from Jihei (Hiroshi Tachi) about the purchase...
"Akinaiseiden Kin to Gin" is set in the mid-Edo period and depicts the common people who work hard and use their ingenuity to succeed in business, while incorporating a variety of customs. In season 1, which aired in 2023, the main character Sachi (Koshiba) marries Tomozo (Matsumoto Reo), the sixth-generation owner of Gosuzuya, and begins selling "Hamahabutae" from New Year's as a desperate plan to revive the struggling Gosuzuya.
Season 2 is the "Edo Edition." It begins immediately after Season 1, with Sachi and Chizo expanding the store and realizing the dream of the previous owner of Gosuzuya, to open a store in Edo, but Sachi is hit by a series of sad events.
