The second trailer for the movie version of "Me & Roboco ," an anime based on the popular comedy manga by Shuhei Miyazaki currently being serialized in "Weekly Shonen Jump" (Shueisha), has been released on YouTube. An unprecedented threat threatens to bring the end of "Me & Roboco" along with the Earth... In this trailer, Roboco, who is jealous of the activities of the multiverse Roboco who have come together from various world lines, tries to save the world as the protagonist.
It was also announced that "Me & Roboco Volume Zero" will be distributed from April 18th as the first gift in the series of movie ticket attendees. The book will feature a special manga drawn by Miyazaki, the original author. It depicts the state of Multiverse Roboco just before the movie's story begins. The book is packed with content, including the draft for Chapter 157 of the original manga, "The Multiverse and Roboco," which the movie's story is based on, a question box section where the cast answers questions from Roboco, a character guide introducing secret information that has never been revealed before, and a "knee-to-knee conversation" between Miyazaki and Matsuo Shun of Chocolate Planet, who plays Roboco.
"Me & Roboco" began serialization in "Weekly Shonen Jump" in July 2020. Set in the year 20XX, when every household has a beautiful maid robot, the story depicts the comical daily life of Roboco, a maid robot with unconventional behavior, and Bond, a kind-hearted boy. The total number of copies of the comics published is about 1.5 million.
The TV anime aired from December 2022 to June 2023. The movie version will be directed by Heitaro Daichi, who is known for his work on anime such as "Ojarumaru" and "Sexy Command Gaiden: Sugoi yo!! Masaru-san" and is also known as a "master of comedy anime." It will be released on April 18th.
